  1. What is the usage levels for pigments?

    The following is a recommended usage level of Colourtech Pigment with commercial grades of resins. The % levels listed here is based on the weight of the molding resin
    8-12 % For Gel coats
    4-6% For laminates
    8-10% For SMC/DMC moldings
    1-4% for Translucent sheets
    4-6% for filled castings.
    8-10% for pultrusions

    Insufficient pigments may lead to non- uniformity of color and other surface defects. Higher pigmentation levels will provide better color uniformity, color depth, brightness and longer durability.

  2. What is your minimum order quantity?

  4. What is the lead time required for dispatch of your products?

    Standard Colours can be shipped off the shelf. However for special colours we will need 3-4 working days for colour matching and supply.

  5. Are all colors in the shade card available in ready stock?

    Yes

  6. Are all colours in the polyester range also available in the Epoxy range?

    Any colour can be matched in the epoxy range as well. Refer the Shade Card for our shades.

  7. What is the difference between the Polyester and Epoxy Pigments?

    The carrier resin used in the Polyester pigments are unsaturated non-styrenated resin which is compatible with most commercial grades of Gelcoat, GP resins and other special grades of resins. The carrier resin in the Epoxy pigments are Saturated Polymeric Plasticizer and is compatible with most commercial grades of Epoxy resin/hardner systems available in the markets.

  8. Can Colourtech pigments be mixed with one another?

    Colourtech pigments can be mixed with one another. However we recommend you write to us at for clarifications before mixing at your end. For certain applications where outdoor durability and long shelf life of the product is concerned, we recommend that we match the required shade as we can control the right blend of basic pigments in order to get the desired results.

  9. Can you also match colours that are not in your shade card?

    We can match any shade required by the customer against 'Samples provided'. The sample can be in the form of a pigment paste, FRP laminate, DMC or SMC component/piece or in any other form. Shades matching to RAL and IS Standards can be undertaken by us.

  10. If your dealer is present in our city, can we still procure directly from you?

    We recommend that you procure the products from our dealers, since they stock all colours and hassles of transport etc. can be avoided. You may also be rest assured that our dealer would give you the product at the most competitive prices.
